My work is all about emotion, how I was feeling when I painted it. I choose my color palette and let the colors talk to me and draw forth my subconscious. The result is a crystalized feeling, a calm or tumultuous landscape that I weave the penwork back into. The pen solidifies the thought and creates a juxtaposition between the soft watercolor and the sharp negative spaces. The result is a painting that changes every time it's viewed. The fine details blend and emerge, creating different shapes and interpretations.

Though the paintings are of my feelings, I don't try to impose that on the viewer. My work is more about the personal connection between the viewer and the piece. This discussion is as much a part of the art as the paintbrush and paper, another stepping stone on the path through the linescapes. Each linescape is its own world to be treasured and enjoyed.

Most of the work displayed here was painted at 36,000 feet, which has no real bearing on the work, just a neat fact. I find painting while I'm at work, flying around the country, helps me to focus and find peace. I hope that these linescapes of emotion and feeling and thought help you find that peace and will open a dialogue between yourself and whichever of my paintings draws you in, you won't be disappointed.
